Mike says:-
“The talk covers the western most point of the Scottish mainland and the surrounding seas and islands. It is a remote area with both Sea and Golden Eagles, as well as numerous other upland and coastal bird species.
Otters and Pine Martens can be found (with patience, and its is one of the last bastions of the Scottish Wildcat).
Day trips can be made out to the islands including the Treshnish Isles with its large seabird colonies, and the seas around them contain many cetacean species such as Minke and Fin Whales. It is an ancient and enigmatic landscape, and I hope in this talk to show what a remote and beautiful part of the UK, which is still rich in wildlife”.
