“Discovering Doñana” – Paul Kenyon

The birds of the most important wetlands in SW Spain.

Doñana National Park, in Southern Spain, is a natural reserve with a diverse collection of habitats, such as marsh, woodlands etc., attracting many species to breed.

Many species also use it as a stepping stone to Northern Europe.

The attached photograph, of a Pin-tailed Sandgrouse, was taken by Paul, and he considers it to be the iconic bird of Doñana.
