In view of the current coronavirus situation all Wirral Bird Club Indoor meetings and Field trips are to be cancelled forthwith, and until further notice.

“Jewel in the Crown” – Mike McKavett.

The birds and animals of Northern India.

Mike says:-

“The talk is based on my exploits in the 80’s, a long time ago.  Although my main interest was birds I’d always had an ambition as a child to visit East Africa and India to photograph Tiger.”

This illustrated presentation will take place at Kingsmead School Hall, Bertram Drive, Hoylake, CH47 0LL.  This is not a ticket event – please just come along.

The above photograph, of Western Siberian Cranes seen wintering in Bharatpur in Rajasthan, North West India, was taken by Mike.  Sadly, he believes that this species/race is now extinct in the wild.
