Tarifa, lying on the north of the Straits of Gibraltar, is the last stop for thousands of birds before they leave Europe to spend the winter in Africa.
Paul has made several visits to Tarifa to observe the migration of the vast numbers of birds of prey, and other broad-winged birds such as storks, as they set off for the winter.
The wetlands provide important staging posts for these birds along with wading birds and egrets as they make their journey south.
This illustrated presentation will take place at St Bridget’s Church Centre, Church Road, West Kirby, Wirral, CH48 7HL.
The attached photograph, of a Booted Eagle, was taken by Paul.
