“The Harp” and Denhall Quay

If you need a break from Christmas preparations, I hope you will join us for a walk along the salt marsh below Little Neston.

As it is a local location, feel free to depart at any time if you must get back for making a Christmas Pudding (just let me know first!).

Directions:

Turn off Burton Road, Little Neston and drive down Marshlands Road to the bottom, then turn left onto Quayside. After 100 yards you’ll reach The Harp, CH64 0TB

Drive 100 yards past the pub to a small parking area.

Meet for a 9.30am departure.

Iconic birds such as Marsh and Hen Harriers and Short-eared Owls will be among our target species.  There should also be plenty of wildfowl and waders.

Wrap up warm, as you can be exposed to the wind here!

Bring lunch if you are staying for the afternoon.

We can decide on the day whether we visit The Harp or go to Burton Mere Wetlands later.
