The HILDA TRUESDALE Memorial Talk

“It’s a Funny Way to Make a Living” – Dr Michael Leach – Thursday 28th September 2017 (8.00 pm to 9.30 pm)

Dr Michael Leach has been a full-time wildlife photographer, cameraman and author since 1977. He has worked on all 7 continents, travelling to some of the wildest places on Earth to study the world’s most charismatic animals, and he is a recommended speaker for the RSPB and National Trust.

In his illustrated presentation – “It’s a funny Way to Make a Living” – Michael explains the basics of his art in a revealing, humorous introduction to the realities of professional wildlife filming. This is definitely NOT a technical talk, and it explains how to coax animals into the right spot and convince them that no-one is watching.

We uncover cunning, underhand tricks-of-the-trade that produce amazing photographs. Be prepared to have some illusions shattered!

This illustrated presentation will take place at Kingsmead School Hall, Bertram Drive, Hoylake, CH47 0LL
